About the program:

A temporary residence permit (residence card) or a residence card for the purpose of work may be granted to a foreigner if the purpose of his/her stay in the Republic of Poland is the intention to work for more than 3 months and the foreigner can document it. To obtain a residence and work permit you must be legally employed and your stay in the country must be legal.

What you need to do in person

Fill in the application for a temporary residence permit

The employee fills in two copies, which he/she signs with his/her own hand. This is an important point, as errors in the entry (from Polish wniosek) may lead to rejection of the application. In some voivodships it is possible to fill in the application on interactive platforms of state authorities, and in some other voivodships it is necessary to download and fill in the form.

● Copy of a valid passport

A copy will be required (if visiting in person, an original for review). All pages with marks shall be copied.

● Rental housing agreement

A copy, recommended to have in your application packet, is not required.

● Copy of employment contract

The contract must be valid. It will, among other things, be proof of the required income. The term of the contract can directly affect the length of the card issued, so the longer it is (ideally indefinite), the more favorable it is for the applicant.

● Photos 4 pcs ( size 3.5 x 4.5)

● Work permit or similar document (copy)

It is a question of consecration, permission, valid residence card (if you want to issue the next one). If a permit is not required for a particular foreigner, it is necessary to confirm this fact (e.g. with a diploma of graduation from a Polish university or PESEL UKR for Ukrainian refugees).

● Insurance

This requirement is in the law, but anyone officially employed already has ZUS insurance, which should be sufficient.
